Woman in civil defense
In the context of changing geopolitics, energy crises and supply chain instability, the importance of civil resilience as an element of national security is growing. During the ‘Civil Resilience 2026’ block, we will discuss how to combine civil defence with social, psychological and organisational preparedness. We will highlight the key role of women in the logistics of everyday life, the resilience of companies through BCP and HR, and the importance of crisis communication and the media. We will conclude with a debate with experts on building a realistic civil resilience system in Poland.

The Specialized Rescue Service (SRS) is a non-governmental organization consisting of qualified specialists from various fields who are ready to help injured people and animals 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
SRS is a strong team whose members not only have the right qualifications, but also the courage and determination to make helping others their priority. The name of the organization refers to the fact that its members are specialists from various fields who join forces to provide effective assistance in any situation.
The history of SRS dates back to 2022, when, during a relief effort for Ukraine, the organization Animal Rescue Poland decided to transform itself into the Specialist Rescue Service. The idea of creating a rescue group using tracking dogs had long been present among the members of the organization, and the action in Ukraine became the impetus to implement this idea.
SRS consists of various teams, including Water Rescue, Animal Rescue Poland, Training Center, and Search and Rescue Group. Each team has specialized knowledge and experience that is used to provide the most effective assistance possible.
For SRS, the most important thing is to help every living creature, which is why the organization works with commitment and professionalism to ensure maximum protection for people and animals in every situation. More information about each team can be found in the tab for that team.
First Aid Zone
During the Safety and Rescue Fair, the Specialist Rescue Service (SRS) stand will be educational, demonstrative, and interactive. Our goal is to promote safety, first aid, and to present the specialist rescue operations carried out by our organization.
The stand will offer short, practical training sessions on:cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR),AED use, choking procedures, stopping massive bleeding, safety rules at the scene of an incident.Participants will be able to practice rescue procedures themselves under the supervision of SRS instructors.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
Prevention Zone – Alcohol Goggles and Drug Goggles
We will conduct educational tests using:alcohol goggles, drug goggles.Participants will be able to perform simple coordination and manual tasks to see how alcohol and psychoactive substances affect perception, reaction time, and situation assessment. The goal is to raise awareness of the risks and promote responsible behavior.
Presentation of the Search and Rescue Group
Visitors to the stand will be able to:learn about the specific activities of the search and rescue group, see the equipment used, find out how a search operation is organized, talk to rescuers about real-life activities in the field. We will present our operating procedures and cooperation with other services.
Water Rescue Section
As part of the water rescue section presentation, we will present:basic water rescue equipment, water safety rules, procedures for rescuing a drowning person, preventive and educational activities carried out by the SRS.There will be an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the equipment and discuss real-life scenarios.
Animal Rescue Section
Visitors will learn about:the scope of activities of the Animal Rescue Section, first aid procedures for animals, rules for the safe transport of animals, cooperation with veterinarians and public services. We will present the specialized equipment used during interventions.
Civil Protection and Civil Defense – expert zone and training offer
During the Safety and Rescue fair, the Specialist Rescue Services stand will also be a venue for substantive discussions on civil protection and civil defense in the broadest sense. In the face of contemporary threats – natural crises, critical infrastructure failures, hybrid threats, mass evacuations, and military events – there is a growing need for professional preparation of both public institutions and local communities.
At the stand, we will be conducting consultations and presenting a comprehensive training offer covering:
Civil protection educationWe discuss:building social resilience, preparing residents for emergency situations, organizing aid and support centers, the principles of civil protection structures, the role of non-governmental organizations in the state security system.
\We present models of cooperation between:local governments, schools, workplaces, social organizations, and emergency services.
Training offer for administration and local governmentsSRS offers specialized training in:evacuation planning and organization, creating crisis response procedures, organizing assembly points and aid stations, securing mass events, information management in crisis situations, the basics of rescue operations for government employees.
Training courses can be:theoretical (expert lectures),workshop-based (scenario analysis),practical (crisis situation simulations).
Training for companies and workplaces
As part of civil protection, we offer programs for the private sector covering:preparing employees for emergency situations, evacuation procedures, responding to crisis situations. dealing with chemical, fire, and terrorist threats, providing first aid in mass incidents. We emphasize the importance of:employer responsibility, real exercises instead of just documentation, building a culture of safety within the organization. Training for schools and educational institutionsAt our stand, we discuss educational programs for:school administrators, teachers, students. The scope includes, among others:behavior in emergency situations, evacuation procedures, first aid in the school environment, responding to crisis situations and aggression, building awareness of threats among young people.
Exercises and simulations
One of the key elements of our offer are:mass event simulations, evacuation drills,decision-making workshops for management staff,scenario-based training games. During the fair, we present sample exercise scenarios and discuss how to prepare and implement them.
The role of social organizations in the security systemAt our stand, we will be discussing:cooperation between NGOs and public administration, support for rescue operations in crisis situations, the involvement of volunteers in civil protection, building local response structures. We present the SRS's experience in operational, training, and educational activities. The nature of the stand in the area of civil protectionThis part of the stand will be:expert, consultative, training, strategic. We invite representatives of:local government units, uniformed services, public institutions, private companies, schools and educational institutions, social organizations.

How to choose mobile lighting for OLiOC so that it works from the very first hours of a crisis
This is a practical training course for people responsible for operational readiness, organisation of activities and equipment in the field of civil protection. Participants will learn methods for selecting mobile lighting based on real-life scenarios – from evacuation and zone marking, through rescue operations and field work without power supply, to the organisation of medical points, logistics centres and backup office workspaces.
What we will show:
- the effects of a lack of light in emergency situations,
key lighting functions in OLiOC,
- the order of use of equipment (what must work first),
- the most important criteria for selecting lighting: technical, functional and organisational.
The training covers issues related to light parameters, resistance, power supply, work ergonomics, servicing and maintaining the readiness of mobile lighting equipment for emergency situations.
